UN: 4 Months to Secure Future of Mankind

If you’ve never been to Yellowstone National Park, you may want to schedule your vacation.

And, I’d also think about visiting the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Estes, and Yosemite, among others.

Why?  Because, it’s all going to disappear, silly.  According to the UN Secretary General, mankind’s future will be determined in the next 4 months, and the outlook doesn’t look good.  Say goodbye to plant-life as we know it.

Here’s a quote from the sanguine speech:

If we fail to act, climate change will intensify: droughts, floods and other natural disasters.  Water shortages will affect hundreds of millions of people.  Malnutrition will engulf large parts of the developing world. Tensions will worsen. Social unrest – even violence – could follow.   The damage to national economies will be enormous.

The human suffering will be incalculable.

We have just four months. Four months to secure the future of our planet.

How does he know all this?  He provided no factual evidence yet acted as though all of this is completely and totally imminent.

What is the ultimate purpose of the climate change discussion?  What are we working towards?  Is there an optimum level of carbon emissions that will eliminate climate change?

Granted, the most distressing time in history is coming.  But, it won’t happen as a result of climate change.

Until then, I guess we’ll just be thankful for the Volt 🙂
